During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of cooperation between South Kazakhstan and the World Bank.
At the same time, Zh. Tuimebayev noted that for the entry of Kazakhstan into the list of the 30 most developed countries in the world, the work is underway to provide all-round support for small businesses, and appropriate measures are being taken to provide financial support to business entities.
"Our region is densely populated and agrarian. Every fifth child in the country is born in this region. South-Kazakhstan region ranks first in the development of small and medium-sized businesses. In addition, our region is the leader in the number of health and education institutions. In this area, there is still plenty of work to do. Therefore, we are ready to continue working with the World Bank in the future", Zh. Tuimebayev said.
In turn, the high guest said that during a three-day visit to South Kazakhstan region, he got acquainted with the current situation in the region and noted dynamically developing Shymkent.
"This year marks the 25th anniversary of the partnership between the World Bank and Kazakhstan. Work in this direction will continue. In the near future, we plan to launch a new financing program", Ato Brown added.
