"We are now launching an application that will allow to quickly obtain information on bus stops through the scanning of the QR-code. That is, during January of next year in the pilot mode, we run several stops. We will make measurements of how residents will react to this, how much the service is in demand and if necessary, QR-codes will be installed at all stops", IT architect of the Sustainable Development Center of the capital Vitaly Pustovoitenko said.
According to him, within the framework of this project, residents and guests of the capital will be able to see all the information indicated on the electronic scoreboard of city bus stops in their phone.
"Using the phone, citizens will be able to scan the code and simultaneously learn the information displayed on all electronic displays in the city. Accordingly, people can control information without getting into fraud. This will be an ideal tool for public transport, in particular for bus stops ", Vitaliy Pustovoitenko said.
It is noted that if the project is supported and will be in demand by the population, QR codes will be installed for all stops in the required places.
