60 tourist objects to be built at Shardara reservoir

At Shardara reservoir in southern Kazakhstan, 60 tourist facilities will be built. This was reported by Mayor of Shardara district Bolatbek Kystauov at a briefing in the Regional Communications Service.

According to the Mayor, 60 objects will be built at Shardara water reservoir to develop region's tourism and will attract investments totaling more than 6.7 billion tenge.

The Mayor of the district also stressed that today, in order to fulfill the tasks assigned in President's Address to the people of Kazakhstan "Third Modernization of Kazakhstan: Global Competitiveness" an industrial zone has been created in the 36 ha area, where all necessary infrastructure will be provided for entrepreneurs.

In addition, he noted that Shardara district is a leader in the region for fish processing. Last year in this direction 3 operating plants processed a total of 4 thousand tons of fish, and the cost of manufactured goods was 3.2 billion tenge. More than 80 percent of the products were exported abroad. Along with this, another fish processing plant with the capacity of 600 tons, where 30 people work, has been launched this year. In the future, due to the opening of new enterprises, it is planned to increase the volume of fish products by 30%.
