Kazakh, Russian space agencies to develop agreement on joint use of Baikonur

“Space agencies of Russia and Kazakhstan have been instructed to study the issue of developing an agreement on the joint use of the cosmodrome, development of its scientific and technological capacity, staff training and participation of Kazakhstani specialists in this work," Kelimbetov said.
In addition, he noted it is needed to consider the issue of reducing the number of “Proton” carrier rocket launches.

The Deputy Prime Minister also urged the National Space Agency to strengthen control over subordinate organizations, in particular regarding the implementation of the state program of forced industrial-innovative development and the program on space industry development.
