Majilis Speaker: Priorities defined by President - main landmarks in work of deputies

Speaking at the joint session of the chambers of the Parliament, Chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin has noted that the priorities identified by the President at the opening of the first session of this convocation and in his Address "Kazakhstan is in the new global reality: growth, reform, development" have become the main reference points in the legislative work of the deputies.

Among the laws adopted N. Nigmatulin has mentioned the law "On payments and payment systems", as well as ratification of several international agreements, which provide country's foreign policy priorities and aim to strengthen the cooperation with the foreign countries and international organizations in the financial sector, to regulate certain aspects of the activities within the framework of the CIS and the Eurasian space.

In addition, according to the Speaker of the Majilis, the parliamentarians have paid attention to the issues of the state program "Nurly Zhol", the state program of health development, the development of the agricultural sector, the establishment of a local police force, the institute of private judicial execution, and others.

During the period of the session the deputies of both chambers of the Parliament have sent 115 deputy requests to the Government and other central government bodies.

During the first session 2935 appeals of citizens have been addressed to the deputies.
