According to the Governor’s Office of the region, 1 billion 260 million tenge was allocated for the construction of roads, this is 78 percent more than last year. Of these, for an average reconstruction of eight streets of the city more than 900 million tenge was spent and 290 million tenge for the current reconstruction of seventy streets. The Governor of the region noted that this year the work was completed timely for the first time.
"In the last spring, we said that it would be done, and here's the result. 23 kilometers of roads have been reconstructed", the Governor of the region said.
Danial Akhmetov added that 25 kilometers of roads will have been asphalted by next year, the city will be improved and within five years the infrastructure of Semey will be improved significantly.
