Kazakhstan and EU to expand coop in liberalization and facilitation of visa regime

Majilis deputy, member of the Parliamentary Cooperation Committee “Republic of Kazakhstan - European Union" Aigul Solovyova met with head of the Office of Central Asia, European External Action Service Toivo Klaar.

According to the Majilis, during the conversation about strengthening of ties Aigul Solovyova stressed the importance of the visit of Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev to Brussels, during which the work on drafting the Agreement on enhanced partnership and cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union was started.

Toivo Klaar assured that the EU is making efforts to enhance cooperation, including in matters of liberalization and facilitation of visa regime.

Having noted the dynamics of development of bilateral relations in the economic and trade issues, the two sides expressed their hope for the active cooperation within the group of parliamentarians Cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador, head of Delegation of the European Union to Kazakhstan Aurelia Bouchez and Majilis deputy, secretary of the House Committee on Ecology and the Environment Shavkhat Utemisov.
