According to the Ministry, co-chair of the working group from the Kazakh side First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Salidat Kairbekova informed about the status of projects proposed in the previous session of the working group: about the implementation of projects with the use of public-private partnerships and the introduction of e-health in Kazakhstan.
S.Kairbekova also noted that nowadays Kazakhstan pays much attention to the development of medical tourism and called on the Austrian side to cooperate closely in this area. In addition, the participants of the meeting pointed up the expanding of opportunities in the market of medicines and medical devices in connection with the creation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
Co-Chair of the working group on the Austrian side, Vice-Minister of Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria Andreas Reichardt confirmed strong interest in cooperation in the sphere of health and pledged in further support in searching of Austrian partners for joint projects.
The parties agreed to speed up the exchange of information about new projects with a view to the successful implementation of the bilateral projects.
"During the meeting, the representatives of Austrian companies have expressed interest in cooperation in the spheres: facility management, planning, design and management of hospitals and transfer of new technologies. They also expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of information and electronic health technology and comprehensive medical solutions", the message reads.
Following the results of the meeting, the sides agreed to hold the next meeting of the Kazakh-Austrian working group in the health sector in 2016 in Austria.
