"Having graduated normal school in Guryev, my grandfather Kuspan Baedilovich Dyusembiyev went to the front. As a private, he fought in the 661th Regiment, the 200th Rifle Division, then he was a commander of a machine-gun platoon of the 950th Infantry Regiment of the new 252th Rifle Division. I am proud that I am the grandson of one of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. He held out in those terrible years, came through the war and returned", one of the participants of the campaign, Lieutenant Assylbek Dyusembiyev said.
Veteran Kuspan Dyusembiyev could not celebrate the cherished victory at the front. Because of the received wounds in the battle in 1944, he was in the hospital, and then was sent home. Memory of the war is preserved in his stories, old letters from the front and the rewards. The veteran was awarded the Order of the “Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945” I degree, “Kurmet”, “Georgy Zhukov”, medals "For courage", "For the liberation of Belarus", "50 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War", "60 Years of Victory in the GPW" and others.
The Great Patriotic War has also left traces in our history forever, taking with them hundreds of thousands of innocent lives. "Memory is eternal" campaign not only allows to combine several generations of Kazakhstan: current military personnel and their families who fought on the fields of the Second World War, but also to learn the new heroes of the war, their unique history and destiny.
All received photos are collected in a single picture as a mosaic, which will appear on banners in the military units throughout Kazakhstan, and will be presented at a ceremony in Astana.
