According to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan, during the meeting the sides discussed the directions of cooperation in the sphere of health and labor migration.
It was agreed to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation in priority directions of health and social protection, in particular, the exchange of experiences between the professionals and the development of joint measures on improving maternal and child health, the exchange of information between the parties on dangerous infectious diseases, joint response with emergencies that result in need of medical care and conducting sanitary and epidemiological measures, cooperation to improve the accessibility and efficiency of health care for migrant workers.
In addition, the Kazakh side offered services for the preparation and training of medical staff on the basis of medical schools and research institutions in Kazakhstan. Tamara Duysenova informed the Tajik side about the current legislation of Kazakhstan, regulatory issues to involve foreign workforce, including seasonal foreign workers.
Also during the meeting they discussed the issues of improving the legislation in relation to migrant workers, citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan temporarily working in Kazakhstan.
