12k tourists used free-of-charge audio-guides in Capital

This summer, the social project focused on the popularization of the city attractions was in demand among guests from 13 countries, it was informed in the Mayor’s Office of the capital.

In all, 12,000 tourists used audio-guides. Lovers of walks could get information about the interesting and iconic places of the capital with audio guides. In order to use the service, it was necessary to leave five thousand tenge in a special tent as a bail and take a special device. At the end of the excursion and after the device is returned, the bail is returned to the tourist.

During the conduction of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017, guests of the city were offered to choose between the two routes with audio-guides: the River bank – the Central park and the Boulevard Nurly Zhol.  

“Information on the city attractions was developed by professional specialists: historians and ethno-scientists”, the message reads.

Information in the audio-guide could be produced in six languages: Kazakh, Russian, English, Chinese, German, Turkish. Currently, information of the capital audio-guides is available on the global Internet platform izi.TRAVEL.

"Anyone can download this application for free on his/her mobile phone and listen to information about the main attractions of Astana. Information on how to use the service can also be found on the website welcometoastana.kz, as well as information booths located at the airport, railway stations, shopping centers", the message of the Ministry reads.
